Gilbert H. Cosnett and Associates was founded
in 1998 as a result of the increased legislation,
demand, and need for the medical community,
emergency responders, and industry to be prepared
to manage all types of events involving nuclear
(radiological), biological, and chemical agents.
We provide training and consulting for
the medical community as well as the emergency
response community. We primarily assist
the hospital emergency department with planning,
preparation, training, PPE and other equipment
necessary to manage cases involving WMD-NBC-CBRN-HazMat
events.
We have assisted many hospitals, nuclear
power facilities, emergency management agencies,
EMS organizations, and chemical plants,
throughout the US and Canada. We have also
consulted on international training programs
and have provided assistance to a major
TV network drama series which portrays a
major city hospital.
Our team of consultants (physicians, nurses,
paramedics, emergency planners, and emergency
managers) have national and international
experience in this field. They have had
many years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE related
to hazardous materials - medical response
and patient care, education, emergency management,
EMS and hospital administration and management,
and nuclear industry emergency planning.
Many of our consultants have published articles
and papers related to these topics, as well
as written course textbooks.
