and other medical personnel who are involved
with the day-to-day operation of an emergency
department, specifically patient care. The
course provides the student with an examination
of the issues, regulations, concepts, and
skills associated with planning, preparing
for, and managing patients contaminated
with and/or exposed to radioactive material,
including multiple casualties. The course
instructor is a nationally experienced lecturer,
author and federal government contractor
who will provide material in a lecture format
as well as through practice and demonstration
of skills and techniques. (Note: This course
has been provided to hospitals throughout
the US and Canada).
