Course Description:
The School Nurses and Educators –
Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical course
is a 6 – hour program
provided for personnel who work in a school
environment and who are responsible for
the safety and/or the initial management
and/or emergency medical care of students
and other individuals who have been exposed
to and/or contaminated with nuclear, biological,
and chemical agents. The course provides
an examination of various scenarios (accidental,
intentional, and terrorism) as well as a
discussion of the immediate response protocols
and personal safety issues (including exposure/contamination
reduction) required for these types of events.
The course instructor is a nationally experienced
lecturer, author and federal government
contractor who will provide material in
a lecture format.
