Course Description:
The News Media Personnel – Nuclear,
Biological, and Chemical course is a 3
– hour program provided for
field personnel who work as correspondents
and audio-video personnel as well as in-house
personnel such as anchors and copy editors.
This course provides a basic understanding
of the differences between nuclear, biological,
and chemical agents – which is exceedingly
important for the accurate reporting of
these types of news events. Further information
is provided which can help the “field”
individual to better prepare for and manage
their own safety when they are in proximity
of such an event. The course instructor
is a nationally experienced lecturer, author
and federal government contractor who will
provide material in a lecture format. He
has provided consultation to the television
program, “ER” on numerous occasions
as well as provided technical guidance and
script writing for educational films on
this topic.
